Well, there are two things for damm sure. 1 Blank must go. He's too arrogant and incompetent for a job like this one. Someone made the statement that at least Blank was a good fundraiser, that's laughable. The Phoenix Club Board, John Keegan and Jonathan Miller have done the lion's share of fundraising for Elon Athletics along with Pete Lembo, Jerry Tolley and others. And 2 IF this University is truly, honestly interested in building an upper echelon CAA Football team, Someone with some level of competence better go out and hire a BIG name with a lot of success as a head coach in his past. If not it could be, LITERALLY a DECADE before we have another reasonably decent signing day. This is an absolute must. Whether the administration knows it or not, the choices they make over the next month will be defining decisions that will have repercussions for Elon Sports for decades. I agree Blank should go but I think that is for another story and day. Why would you even think this university is interested in building a good team in the CAA? And what big name are you talking about? The only big name you are going to get here is some D2 head coach who is doing well... which I am not sure about you, that is not a big name. We have gone the assistant route from FBS before I am over that. I do not understand why people of Elon think that we have some great back ground and history of success. We can't say oh man we won NAIA title 50 years ago... we have some great tradition. Sorry that is a load of crap. Stop thinking Elon is some great impressive school that is so much better than others because we have good academics and our campus looks good. The top athletes we are recruiting do not care that we have good academics. We are not going to get many, if any recruits when we are competing with the likes of JMU, Richmond and W&M. Just face the facts. Our glory years are NAIA championships and one season when we made the playoffs with a good QB and an D1 transfer... NH had made the playoffs 11 straight seasons... that is tradition. We are saying we should be good because we have a lot of majors? ? Are you kidding me? Oh man we have a fountain on campus you should come here. No... kids come for good facilities, a chance to play and winning tradition. Outside of a chance to play we have none of those... We are not going to get good talent this year or in the next 5 years. So yes I am frustrated but I am also realistic in terms of what the teams in the CAA have... are tradition. They only thing we could sell kids on is great facilities, an awesome/high tech locker room, a ton of gear and jerseys.... but we dont have this and we dont want to spend the money on this, why? BECAUSE THE ADMINISTRATION COULD CARE LESS IF ELON FOOTBALL IS GOOD!

All issues point to the athletic office not the athletic field. Time for a change

I thinks it's pretty sad that the players had to find out through social media.

I thinks it's pretty sad that the players had to find out through social media. Not defending Skrosky, but I heard that the staff found out today... and soon after it was released on Elon's website. Does not sound like they gave him much time to tell his team. Also, kids are on break so would have been text or email probably anyway. But I totally know what you mean.

I thinks it's pretty sad that the players had to find out through social media. Most position coaches called/notified their guys.

Most position coaches called/notified their guys. Most-is the key word I'm not aware of any that didn't. So I used the word most to make sure I didn't say something untrue. It could well be all, but I don't know for sure. In this day and age, it's likely that some players hear from other players or social media before their coach has a chance to contact them.

Btw, this is a crap move. The guy bailed. He saw the writing on the wall. I am pissed. He had a job to do and now bailed and probably get 8 guys to lose their jobs because he wasn't man enough to deal with the crappy job he did.
Merry Christmas to the rest of the staff, you're fired

Can you imagine what the staff is thinking? Especially the guys that followed skrosky from ball state to Elon?
5 days from Christmas and they will lose their jobs and relocating, hopefully finding other work.
Classless move. The guy who created the original dumpster fire just threw gasoline on it and ran away.
