NAIA means nothing today. Great. We won them. They mean nothing to the coaches or kids now.
It does not take away from how hard the Elon players worked to get them or the sacrifices made.
However, they are irrelevant in today's world of football. I hate to say it. But it's true.
We need a young coach with ambition. We ARE a stepping stone. It's okay.

Can you imagine what the staff is thinking? Especially the guys that followed skrosky from ball state to Elon? 5 days from Christmas and they will lose their jobs and relocating, hopefully finding other work. Classless move. The guy who created the original dumpster fire just threw gasoline on it and ran away. Oh come on. You are saying you wouldnt take more money to do less work? Or even same amount of money to do less work? Oh and lets add in that your boss and the company you work for our not being the most supportive or giving what you want or need to do well at your job. Do not even say it is classless... If you think this you obviously do not follow athletics or sports at all. This happens every season. Maybe you can say be bailed... but it could also be a promotion for him, which is not really bailing at all its called a promotion which I think all of us would take. if he is the OC at FIU it is either a demotion or his move to Elon from Ball State was at best a lateral transfer

An OC job in FBS is probably equal to the head job at Elon. I know people will disagree. But money is probably close to the same and half the work. Skrosky loved Elon it was one of the only places he wanted to be head coach. I don't think he really cared about being a head coach outside of at Elon. I honestly think the move to FIU was a thing were he sat down and thought about all the bs he has to deal with a a head coach especially with Elon, Blank and Leo and was fed up with the situation. He knew if he didn't win he would be fired. An opportunity came up and he jumped on it. From what I heard Elon never counter offered and it wasn't about the salary for himself. He wanted some more for his staff and some other promises to be fulfilled. None of which Elon would probably do.
